On Tuesday, around 12 noonish, Los Angeles got hit with an earthquake, causing quite a stir amongst wanna-be practicing lawyers. Rocking the building full of already jittery law students at work, taking their bar exam, the earthquake strikes. As quoted on Abovethe law. com from a tipster, “Earthquake just hit LA (5.8) and the epicenter was just next to Ontario, CA where the CA bar exam is being administered.”

Also reported on Abovethelaw.com, “Earthquake in LA on day 1 of the CA Bar! USGS maps show that it was somewhat close to Ontario, though many people taking in Century City area as well. Only a 5.8 which isn’t too bad - but did feel it all the way in North County, San Diego. Hopefully nobody ran out of the exam/building - wouldn’t want a repeat of the 90s.”

While initially that quake seemed to come at the wrong time, I’m sure after it was all said and done, the law students had a good laugh and remembered that nothing can be taken too seriously. In the end, mother nature has the final word. We are all just along for the ride.
