Will the REAL Facebook Owner Please Stand Up?

Posted on 08 September 2008

Some major drama is going down over at the Facebook enterprise in the absence of a mutually signed employment agreement. Ever since general counsel, Rudy Gadre, moved to Seattle, there is no one to lead the billion dollar company in the right direction regarding a crazy Nova Scotia woman named Deborah Nickerson who has no idea that she is crazy. Nor does she know that she DOESN’T own Facebook. In fact, she doesn’t even know that she is not the co-founder of Microsoft.

Will the real slim shady please stand up?

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s REAL co-founder and CEO, is being sent in a whirlwind by Nickerson. She even fired him recently. Corresponding with Facebook since the spring, in letters, faxes, emails, and voicemails, Nickerson “blithely acts as if she owns the company, making business and personnel decisions. She signs her letters, ‘Deborah Nickerson, Phd. Sience, and Technology, Doctor of Business, Harvard, and Acadia University, Owner of Facebook Inc., Co-Founder Microsoft Corp.’”

In one letter to Facebook CFO Gideon Yu, Nickerson writes,”I regret that you have been confused, however, I am the owner of Facebook Inc. I did not hire you. I have no contact with you. It is not possible that you are in charge of my financial well-being with no knowledge of who I am. I will accept your hostility, and false claims, and no desire to work in my presence, as your resignation.”

While lawyers have filed a restraining order in late July against Nickerson, Counsel Mark Howitson says in a declaration that Nickerson was a threat to the company.

“These threats include: statements about the ‘last chance to save Mark Zuckerberg’ unless $50,000 is transferred into her bank account; statements that she is ‘bordering on criminal acts’; and promises to ‘return’ to Facebook in the very near future.”

“She is clearly delusional,” he added.

Hello Mr. Doheny, I enjoyed reading your post and when I saw that it said you have posted 186 times on the Legal Research center I thought you might be able to give me a few pointers. I have had no luck trying to find someplace where I can get a few simple legal questions answered for free. I need to file a small claims court case against a hotel and they changed owners. I tried calling most of the legal aid type places and none of them will answer questions like this. ” Do I file suit against the current owner of the hotel or the owner of the hotel at the time I had my property damaged there” Any idea where I can look to try and get answers to simple legal questions like that?
P.S. I wrote a fascinating book about James Earl Ray … can I mail you a free copy.
